Air Capital Invitational Recap

Fifteen Hammerheads competed at the Air Capital Invitational in Wichita, KS June 24^th-26^th. There were 83 best times and 1 Champs-Bonus, 5 Champs, 1 Sectionals-Bonus, 2 Sectionals cuts and 4 new team records!

Notable Swims

-Nick Bracken dropped almost 15 seconds in his 400 IM and returned to Finals in 200 Fly

-MaryBeth Clark returned to Finals in the 100 Fly where she was not only victorious, but set a new team record with a 1:04.77

-Elisa DeCaro returned to Finals in the 200 Back and 100 Free

-Makaila Hayes returned to Finals in each of her events: 200 Free, 100 Back, 100 Breast, 100 Fly, 200 IM and 100 Free (2^nd place!) She also earned 2^nd in the 50 Free shoot-out to earn her Sectionals cut and a new team record with a 27.98!

-Jakeb Kobs swam his first 400 Free and 800 Free

-Piper Kobs returned to Finals and was victorious in the 50 Back, 100 Back and 50 Fly. She also returned to finals and earned 2nd in the 200 Free (after an 8 second shave!), 50 Free and 100 Free. She also dropped over 14 seconds in the 800 Free to earn second.

-Jacey McGraw dropped over 28 seconds in her 800 Free and returned to Finals in 3 events: 200 Back, 100 Free and 200 Breast.

-Zach Mendez dropped almost 22 seconds in his 800 Free

-Emma Owen dropped over 19 seconds in her 800 Free and returned to the top heat of Finals in the 200 Fly.

-Clay Pilliard returned to Finals in 3 events: 200 Free, 100 Back and 200 Back.

-Raphael Realina dropped over 16 seconds in his 800 Free and returned to Finals in 100 Back, 100 Breast, 200 IM and the top heat of 200 Breast.

-Kennedy Roberts returned to finals and earned new Champs cuts in the following: 50 Back, 50 Breast (2^nd place!), 100 Back and 100 Breast (3^rd place and after an over 10 second shave!) She also earned a Champs-Bonus cut in the 50 Fly.

-Hannah Stewart returned to Finals in 100 Back (new Champs cut!), 200 Back, 100 Fly and 200 IM (new Sectionals-Bonus cut!). She returned to Finals in the top heat of the 200 Free and the 100 Free.  She also earned her Sectionals cut in the 50 Free!

-Isaac Stewart returned to Finals in 200 Free, 50 Back, 50 Breast (1^st place!), 100 Back, and 100 Breast. He also returned to Finals, won 2^nd place and earned 2 new team records in the 50 Free with a 29.14 and 100 Free with a 1:04.61!
