NLU was represented by 20 swimmers at the Missouri Valley Winter Classic in Lenexa, December 2-4. There were 106 Best Times, 5 new Champs cuts, 12 new Senior Champs cuts, 3 new Sectional Bonus cuts, 2 new Sectionals cuts and 4 records.

- Alex Briggs returned to the Top 8 of Finals in his 200 IM and 200 Fly
-Grady Burns returned to the Top 8 of Finals in his 100 Free, 100 Back (new SC time!), 50 Free and 100 Fly.
-Claire Dierker returned to B Finals in 100 free, 50 Fly, 50 Breast, 100 Fly and 200 Free. She returned to the Top 8 in 50 Free and finished 4th in her age group in 500 Free.
-Isaac Dierker returned to the Top 8 Finals in 200 Fly and 500 Free.
-Jack Francis-Cummins swam in his first meet as a Hammerhead and returned to the Top 8 in 3 events: 200 IM, 100 Free (new SC time!) and 200 Breast. He earned a new Sectional Bonus cut in the 200 Breast.
-Rowan Gellis returned to B Finals in 100 Back and 50 Back and the Top 8 heats for 50 Breast and 100 Breast.
-Piper Kobs returned to the Top 8 heats of finals in: 100 Free, 200 Fly, 100 Back and 200 Free. She returned to the B Finals in the Open 200 Back where she set a new team record of 2:18.71. Piper also placed first in her age group in the 500 Free. After an almost 26 second drop in the 1000 Free, Piper broke another team record for 1000 Free with a 11:46.75.
-Teagan Mitchell returned to the Top 8 Finals in the 100 IM, 100 Free, 50 Back and 50 Free. She returned to B finals in the 100 Back.
-Leo Nguyen returned to B Finals in 50 Fly and 100 Fly.
-Sean Nguyen returned to B Finals in 100 Free, 100 Back, 100 Breast and 200 Free.
-Clay Pilliard returned to the Top 8 in the 200 IM, 100 Free, 200 Back and 100 Fly.
-Raphael Realina returned to Top 8 heat of Finals in the 200 IM, 200 Breast and 100 Breast. He was victorious in the 200 IM and 200 Breast. He earned 2 new Sectionals Cuts in his 100 Breast and 200 Breast. Rafa dropped over 31 seconds in his 1000 Free to earn 2nd for his age group.
-Kemper Roberts placed in the top 8 in his 400 IM.
-Kennedy Roberts got 4 new Champs cuts: 100 IM, 50 Breast, 100 Breast and 50 Free. She returned to the Top 8 Heat of Finals in 100 IM, 50 Breast and 100 Breast and returned to B Finals in 100 Back, 50 Back and 50 Free.
-Hannah Stewart returned to the Top 8 Finals in 100 Breast and the B Finals in 100 Free and 200 Breast.
-Isaac Stewart was victorious in all but 1 event where he placed 2nd place. He swam the 500 Free, 100 IM, 100 Free, 50 Breast, 100 Breast, 50 Free and 200 Free. He dropped over 11 seconds to grab a new team record of 5:30.54 in the 500 Free and he earned a new team record of 25.72 in the 50 Free. He also won the high-point award for 11-12 Boys. Way to go, Isaac!
-Neil Williams dropped almost 13 seconds in his 200 Free to grab a new Champs cut. He also returned to B Finals in 100 Free, 50 Fly and 50 Free.
