Beach Bash Re-cap
Forty-four swimmers braved the weather and had a blast at the TSA Beach Bash in Topeka June 2-4. There were 11 new Districts cuts, 7 Bonus times, 3 Champs times and a record! The team won a shiny new blue Hawaiian Shirt 1st place Trophy!
Notable Swims
-Alex Briggs was in the Boy’s 15 & Over 200 Free Relay that broke a record.
-Grady Burns was also in the Boy’s 15 & Over 200 Free Relay that broke a record.
-Claire Dierker raced to 6 1st place finishes in 50 Free, 200 Free, 50 Fly, 100 Breast, 100 Free and 400 Free (new Champs cut!)
-Jack Francis-Cummins was victorious in the 200 Breast and 100 Breast.
-Kylee Gray earned Districts cuts in 50 Free, 100 Free, 200 Free and 100 Breast.
-Sophia Hall earned a new Districts time in 100 Free.
-Roman Lewis was in the Boy’s 15 & Over 200 Free Relay that broke a record and he was victorious in the 100 Free.
-Jake Maiseroulle was the high-point winner for the 11-12 Boys age group! He won the 200 IM, 50 Back and 100 Breast and earned a Districts cut in 100 Fly, Bonus cut in 100 Back and Champs cut in 400 Free.
-Jacey McGraw earned a Bonus cut in the 400 Free.
-Kian McHugh shaved over 7 seconds in his 200 Free and grabbed a Districts cut in his 100 Back.
-Neala McHugh swam to a 1st place finish in her 200 IM.
-Zach Mendez was the 4th man in the record-breaking Boy’s 15 & Over 200 Free Relay.
-Jeffrey Older swam in his first long course meet.
-Brady Poss swam in his first long course meet and picked up new District cuts in 50 Free, 50 Back and 100 Back and a Bonus cut in the 50 Fly.
-Raphael Realina was victorious in the 200 IM.
-Kemper Roberts won his 400 Free, 200 Breast and 100 Breast.
-Kennedy Roberts shaved over 9 seconds in her 200 Breast to earn a Bonus cut. She also earned one in her 100 Breast and a pair of Districts cuts in 100 Fly and 100 Back.
-Isaac Stewart worked on cuts in his new age group and earned Districts times in 200 Breast (after an over 7 second shave!) , 100 Free and 200 Free, a Bonus cut in 100 Breast and a Champs cut in 50 Free.
-Neil Williams swam 400 Free for the first time ahd picked up a Champs cut!
-Clara Wilson grabbed District cuts in 50 Free and 50 Breast and Bonus cuts in 50 Fly and 50 Back (where she was victorious!)
-Griffin Wilson swam in his first long course meet and won 50 Back.
-Justin Woodland grabbed a new District time in 100 Back when he led off his relay.
