Frosty Frolic Re-cap

Twenty-seven Hammerheads headed to the Frosty Frolic in Topeka December 1-3. The team won 2nd place, there were 67 best times, 2 new Senior Champs cuts, 2 new District cuts, 1 Bonus, 1 Champs cut and a new team record. Several of our Hammerheads won trophies for high point in their age group:

1st Place: 15&Over Boys – Isaac Dierker, 13-14 Girls – Piper Kobs, 11-12 Girls – Neala McHugh, 9-10 Boys – Kian McHugh. 2nd Place: 13-14 Girls – Claire Dierker, 11-12 Boys – Jake Maiseroulle. 3rd Place: 13-14 Girls (for the sweep!) – Clara Wilson

Notable Swims

- Alexandra Claerhout shaved over 9 seconds in her 50 Fly.

-Maxen Claerhout swam to 3rd place in his 50 Back.

-Claire Dierker swam to 2nd place in 4 events and 3rd place in 3 events. She earned 2nd place in the 13-14 girls age group.

-Isaac Dierker was victorious in 7 of his events and swam to 2nd in one. He earned the high point award for 15&Over Boys.

-Alex Foot swam to 3rd in 3 events and picked up 2 new Senior Champs cuts.

-Jackson Graham swam in his first meet as a hammerhead.

-Sophia Hall swam her first 500 Free.

-Jack Jeppson was victorious in his 25 Fly and swam to 2nd place in his 25 Free.

-Piper Kobs was first to the wall in 7 of her events and swam to 2nd place in 4 events. She earned the high point award for 13-14 Girls and picked up a new team record in the 50 Fly: 28.40

-Jake Maiseroulle swam to first in 7 events and 2nd place in 1 event. He earned the 2nd place high point award for 11-12 Boys.

-Kian McHugh swam to victory in 5 of his events, 2nd in 1 event and 3rd in 2 events. He finished the meet with a new Champs cut in the 50 Fly and the 9-10 Boys High Point trophy.

-Not to be outdone by her brother, Neala McHugh also took home a High Point trophy for her 11-12 Girls age group. She swam to 6 victories, 4 2nd places and 1 3rd.

-Brady Poss swam to 2nd in 50 Fly and 3rd in 50 Back.

-Zoe Prado punched her ticket to Districts with a cut in the 50 Free.

-Clark Williams was victorious in his 25 Breast.

-Neil Williams upgraded his 50 Breast from a Districts cut to a Champs Bonus cut.

-Clara Wilson finished in 3rd place overall for 13-14 Girls.  She swam to 3rd in 3 events, and swam her first 400 IM, earning a Districts cut while doing so.

-Griffin Wilson swam to 2nd in his 50 Fly and 3rd in his 50 Breast.
