Twenty-seven NLU swimmers competed at the True Blue Igloo meet in Topeka January 5-7th. There were 107 Best Times, 5 new District cuts, 5 new Bonus Cuts, 3 new Champs cuts and 8 new Senior Champs cuts.

Notable Swims
- Maddie Briggs returned to Finals in 4 events (100 Fly, 50 Fly (3rd!), 50 Back (3rd!) and 200 Free. She picked up a new Districts cut in 100 Free, a new Bonus cut in 50 Back and punched her ticket to Champs in the 50 Fly.
-Britton Carlson swam in her first meet as a Hammerhead.
-Preston Carlson picked up a new Districts cut during his first-ever 100 Back.
-Alexandra Claerhout swam her first 200 IM.
-Maxen Claerhout swam his first 500 Free.
-Isabelle Collop returned to Finals in 100 Breast and picked up a new Districts cut. She also shaved a whopping 13.42 seconds in her 200 Free!
-Kiefer Conrad with the big shaves: almost 9 seconds in his 50 Breast and over 7 seconds in his 100 Free. He also swam his first 100 IM.
-Claire Dierker returned to Finals in all of her events ending in a pair of 1st place finishes in 50 Free and 100 Free, 2nd in 200 Fly and 3rd in 200 Breast. She swam her first even 200 Back and not only placed in the Top 5 but picked up a Bonus cut, too.
-Alex Foot returned to Finals in all 3 of his events: 100 Fly, 200 Free and 100 Breast.
-Sophia Hall returned to Finals in 4 events: 100 Fly, 200 IM, 200 Fly and 200 Breast.
-Justin Henricks returned to Finals in 5 events: 100 Fly (new Senior Champs cut after an over 12 second shave!), 200 Free (new Senior Champs cut after over 20 second shave!), 100 Breast (new Senior Champs cut after over 10 second shave!), 200 IM (over MINUTE shave!), and 200 Breast. He also shaved over 33 seconds in his 500 Free.
-Henry Johnson returned to Finals in 3 events: 100 Fly (new Senior Champs cut), 200 Back (almost 12 second shave!) and 100 Breast (new Senior Champs cut!)
-Caden Kimmis cut over 21 seconds in his 100 Back and over 10 seconds in his 100 Free.
-Chase Kindle returned to Finals in 100 Fly and 50 Back (new Bonus cut!) He also shaved over 11 seconds in his 200 Free.
-Sean Nguyen returned to Finals in all of his events – ending with a pair of 1st places in 50 Free (new Champs cut!) and 200 Back and 2nd place in 100 Back. He also swam 100 Fly (new Bonus cut), 200 Free (new Champs cut), 100 Free and 200 IM.
-Zoe Prado returned to Finals in her 200 Free.
-Rainier Realina returned to Finals in his 200 Breast.
-Raphael Realina returned to Finals in all of his events – ending in 4 1st place finishes in 100 Breast, 400 IM, 200 IM and 200 Breast. He finished 2nd in 200 Back and 100 Back and in his first-ever mile he earned 3rd and a new Senior Champs cut.
-Brady Scammen swam in his first meet as a Hammerhead. He returned to Finals and grabbed new Senior Champs cuts in 2 events: 100 Free and 100 Back. He also returned to Finals in 200 Breast.
-Breckyn Shaw swam her first mile and placed 2nd! She also returned to Finals in 3 events: 100 Free, 100 Back and 200 Breast.
-Philip Shekleton shaved over 8 seconds in his 100 Fly and swam his first 200 Free.
-Isaac Stewart returned to Finals in his 3 events, swimming to 1st in his 200 Free and 2nd in his 500 Free.
-Karder Walburn returned to Finals in 100 Breast and picked up a new Districts cut along the way.
-Neil Williams returned to Finals in 50 Fly and 100 Breast (new Districts cut!)
