MV Districts Re-cap
Thirty swimmers gave it their all at the MV Districts meet in Topeka February 9-11. There were 145 Best Times, 3 new District cuts, 11 new Bonus cuts, 22 new Champs cuts and 6 swimmers have Champs eligibility due to finishing in the Top 2. The team finished 3rd overall!

Notable Swims
-Levi Bettis returned to Finals in 100 Breast where he not only picked up a Champs time but placed first.
-Madeline Briggs returned to Finals in 3 events. She placed first in her 100 Fly and earned a new Champs cut. She also picked up a Bonus cut in her 200 IM.
-Logan Broek returned to Finals in all 6 of his events and finished 2nd and picked up a new Bonus cut in the 100 Fly, finished 1st in 100 IM and picked up a new Champs cut in 50 Free.
-Preston Carlson returned to Finals in 4 events. He picked up a Bonus cut in his 50 Free and a new Champs cut and a victory in the 50 Fly.
-Nyema Clemons returned to Finals in all 6 of her events. She picked up a new Champs cut and swam to victory in 100 Free.
-Isabelle Collop returned to Finals in 200 Free and 50 Breast.
-Claire Dierker shaved over 15 seconds to place first and pick up a new Champs cut in her 400 IM. She was also victorious and earned a new Champs cut in the 200 IM. Her efforts in her Finals race of 200 Breast earned her a third Champs cut for the meet.
-Rowan Gellis returned to Finals and picked up a new Bonus cut in 100 Breast.
-Sophia Hall returned to Finals in 200 Fly and placed 1st.
-Chase Kindle aged up the day before Districts but earned a new District cut in his new age group in 100 Back.
-Julian Locke returned to Finals in 2 events: 100 Breast and 50 Breast.
-Harmony Lucas returned to Finals in 200 Back and 50 Free and 100 Back (placed 2nd and earned new Bonus cut!)
-Neala McHugh returned to Finals in 5 events. In her 100 Back, she picked up a new Bonus cut and she swam to victory and a new Champs cut in 200 Free.
-Teagan Mitchell returned to Finals in 100 Free, 200 Back, 50 Free and 100 Back. She earned a Champs cut in her 100 Free.
-Brady Poss returned to Finals in 6 events: 100 Fly, 100 Free, 100 IM, 50 Free, 100 Back and 50 Fly. He picked up 2 new Champs cuts in 50 Free and 100 Back.
-Zoe Prado returned to Finals in 200 Free.
-Owen Pudenz returned to Finals in 100 IM.
-Rainier Realina picked up 2 new Champs cuts in Finals in his 100 Breast and 200 Breast. He also returned to swim 100 IM and picked up a Districts cut in 50 Free.
-Kennedy Roberts shaved over 11 seconds in her 400 IM to grab a new Bonus cut in that event. She also punched her ticket to Champs with 3 new cuts when she returned to Finals (and won!) in 100 Free and 100 Breast. She also earned a Champs cut in 50 Free and won her 100 Back Final. In her 200 Back Final race, she picked up a Bonus cut.
-Breckyn Shaw shaved over 11 seconds in her 200 Back.
-Makenna Toyne shaved over 11 seconds and grabbed her first Champs cut in her 200 IM. She returned to Finals in 6 other events and picked up a Bonus cut in her 100 Back and earned a Champs cut and swam to victory in 50 Fly.
-Karder Walburn picked up 2 new District cuts in 50 Free and 50 Breast. He returned to Finals in 50 Breast.
-Neil Williams returned to Finals in 100 Fly, 50 Breast and 50 Fly.
-Clara Wilson shaved over 8 seconds in her 400 IM. She also picked up a Champs cut and finished 2nd in 100 Fly. She also returned to Finals in 200 IM, 200 Back and 200 Breast.
-Griffin Wilson placed 2nd and picked up a new Champs cut in 200 IM. He returned to Finals in 100 Breast (new Bonus cut!), 100 IM (2nd place and new Bonus cut!), 100 Back (new Champs cut!) and 50 Breast.
