25 swimmers competed at the Missouri Valley Short Course Senior Championships in Topeka February 22-24. There were 74 Best Times, 2 new Sectionals cuts, 1 new Futures cut and 4 new records (3 of which beat 12 year old records!)

Notable Swims

- Claire Conrad shaved almost 10 seconds in her 100 Fly.

-Elisa DeCaro cut over 7 seconds in her 100 Fly and returned to Finals in 50 Free.

-Isaac Dierker, Senior, swam in his last meet as a Hammerhead. He returned to Finals in 200 Fly and 100 Back.

-Alex Foot shaved over 38 seconds in his 400 IM.

-Kimberly Greene returned to Finals in 200 Back, 500 Free and 100 Back.

-Jakeb Kobs returned to Finals in 50 Free.

-Roman Lewis returned to Finals in 200 IM and 100 Free (3rd place!) He was a member of the 2 15&Over relays to break team records.

-Jacey McGraw returned to Finals in 200 Free.

-Zach Mendez returned to Finals in all of his events, taking 1st in 1000 Free and 200 Free, 2nd in 200 IM and 100 Free. He picked up 2 new Sectionals cuts in his 200 IM and 100 Back.  He was also a member of the 2 15&Over relays to break team records.

-Raphael Realina returned to Finals in all of his events and placing 3rd in 200 IM.

-Brady Scammen shaved almost 14 seconds in his 400 IM.

-Camille Schear, Senior, swam in her last meet as a Hammerhead. She returned to Finals in 200 Back.

-Jack Stanley returned to Finals in 200 Fly and 100 Back.

-Hannah Stewart returned to Finals in 5 events: 200 Breast, 400 IM, 100 Free, 100 Breast and 100 Back.

-Gabriel Wells returned to Finals in 100 Free and was a member of the 2 15&Over relays to break team records.

-Garrison Wells returned to Finals in 200 Back, 100 Free and 100 Back. Not only was he victorious in 100 Back, but he set a new team record and earned a Futures cut! He also set a new team record in 50 Back as part of the 200 Medley Relay. He was also a member of the 2 15&Over relays to break team records.
