Meet of Champions Recap

Eleven swimmers went down to Bartlesville, Ok to race at the Meet of Champions swim meet January 17-19. It was a prelims/finals meet at a fantastic 6-lane facility that even aired the Chiefs football game during warm-up!

Notable Swims

We had 5 swimmers compete in the 500 Freestyle: Malayna Cox, Julian Locke, Neala McHugh, Brady Poss, and Neil Williams.

Preston Carlson dropped time in all 6 of his events. He made a bonus cut in the 100 Fly and got himself a Districts time in the 100 Free.

Noah Greenlee walked away with a bonus cut in the 50 Free.

Jack Jeppson took home 5^th place in the 50 Fly and the 50 Back. He made 3 bonus cuts in the 50 Free, the 100 back with a 7.45 second drop, and the 200 Free, where he dropped 10.25 seconds. Jack swam a Champs cut in the 100 fly with a 17.22 drop and also got one in the 50 back.

Neala McHugh got 5^th place in the 50 Free, the 200 Free and the 200 IM.

Rainier Realina placed 4^th in the 100 and the 200 Breast.

Neil Williams locked in with 3^rd place in the 50 Free, 100 Fly and 100 Free. He placed 5^th in the 50 Breast and took home the silver in the 50 Fly. Neil received his Champs cut in the 100 Breast.

Clara Wilson placed 3^rd in the 100 Breast and 4^th in the 200 Breast where she walked away with a Champs cut.

Griffin Wilson made it back to finals in 6 of his races. He took 4^th in the 200 FR, 5^th place in the 200 IM, 3^rd in the 50 Breast, 5^th in the 100 Back, and 3^rd in the 100 Breast. He also stood at the top of the podium with a 1^st place win in the 50 Back! Griffin made his champs cut in the 200 Free.
